Meshwork

$ meshwork scan 10.20.0.0/24

Every device.
Every port.
One map.

Meshwork scans your network, keeps an inventory of every device and draws the map for you, down to the switch port, VLAN and PoE watts.

An animated scan of a fictional site, Arctic Facility 7, on 10.20.0.0/24: 254 addresses checked, 32 devices found with their open ports, and one risk, a camera with Telnet open.

$ traceroute meshwork

Four hops from “what is on this network?” to a documented answer.

  1. 1discover.local0.41 ms

    Discover

    Fast scans of any range: live hosts, open ports, names, makers and a best guess at each device type, with the risks worth fixing.

  2. 2inventory.local0.88 ms

    Network Inventory

    Every device kept per network across scans: first and last seen, ports, names and risks. Search it, filter it, export it.

  3. 3map.local1.37 ms

    Map

    A live diagram drawn from what your switches report: real links, port names, VLANs and PoE, as a topology or an infrastructure view.

  4. 4wifi.local1.92 ms

    WiFi

    The wireless networks around you with channels, bands, signal and security, to pick a clear channel or spot an access point that does not belong.

  5. 5* * *—

    Monitor coming soon

    Uptime, latency and alerts for the devices that matter. Request timed out, for now.

Map

Drawn from what your switches already know.

Give Meshwork a read-only SNMP community. It reads your routers and managed switches and puts every device on the port it is really plugged into.

Meshwork map of an office network: router, core switch, floor switch and access points, with port names, VLANs and PoE on each cable, and devices grouped by kind under the port they are plugged into.
  1. Ports and VLANs on the cable. Trunks list their VLANs, and the port name sits on the switch side, however far away the device is.
  2. PoE watts per port. See what each camera, phone and access point draws.
  3. Read over SNMP. Switches and routers report their own ports, MAC tables and neighbours.
  4. Neighbours from LLDP. Links to switches and access points come from what the devices announce.
  5. Grouped by kind. Dozens of endpoints fold into tidy groups under the port they hang from.
Connections

Where is every camera plugged in?

One spreadsheet: device, switch, port, VLAN, PoE and the full path to the gateway, across every switch at once. Blank when no switch has seen a device, never a guess.

Export connections dialog filtered to cameras, listing each camera with its switch and port.
Inventory

Every device, and what makes it a risk.

A type, a maker, the open services and a plain note on anything worth fixing, like Telnet left open on a camera. One click opens SSH, the web page or Remote Desktop.
