The terms for using Meshwork. They are also shown when you install it and under Help in the app.
In short
You can
- Use Meshwork for free, on as many computers as you like
- Use it for your own networks and for work you do for clients
- Share the unmodified installers from the official download page
You cannot
- Sell, rent or sublicense it, or bundle it into a paid product
- Distribute modified copies or rename it
- Remove the copyright or the credits to Influx Network
This summary is for convenience. The terms below are what apply.
Meshwork (“the Software”) is free of charge. By installing or using it you accept these terms.
Use
You may install and use the Software on any number of computers, for personal use and for professional work, including work you carry out for your own clients.
Restrictions
You may not:
- sell, rent, lease or sublicense the Software, or charge for it on its own or as part of another product;
- distribute modified copies of the Software, or distribute it under another name;
- remove or alter the copyright notices, the name “Meshwork” or the credits to Influx Network LLC;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where applicable law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
You may share the unmodified installers obtained from the official download page.
Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Influx Network LLC keeps all rights, title and interest in it. Third-party components included in the Software are covered by their own licences, listed in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.txt.
Your data
Scan results, inventories, maps and settings stay on your computer. The Software never sends information about the networks you scan. When it checks for updates it may send a random installation id, the app version and the operating system, which you can turn off in Settings. See the privacy notice.
Responsible use
Scan and query only networks and devices you own or are authorised to assess.
No warranty
The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Influx Network LLC is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Software.
Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break its terms. You must then stop using the Software and delete all copies.
Changes
New versions may come with updated terms, which apply to those versions.
